Susanna's Priorities for Virginia

Reproductive Rights

With my knowledge, experience, and expertise, I will go to the General Assembly to ensure Virginia does not move backwards. I believe strongly that women must have control over their own bodies and access to affordable quality healthcare.

Education

I will advocate for helping local school districts in increasing the compensation and support systems in place to support our teachers because when you recruit and retain the best teachers, every Virginia student wins.

Gun Violence

I believe in common-sense gun laws and using evidence-based interventions to reduce firearm-related injuries and deaths. I want to make sure we take steps to protect our neighborhoods from gun violence.

Senior Advocacy

In the General Assembly I will put forth policies and incentives for expanding and promotion of safe and affordable housing options, as well as increasing state and community resources to help our seniors age in place and peace.

Mental Health & Substance Use Disorder

Our Commonwealth must make mental health and substance use disorder a top priority, and make sure that Virginia becomes the top state in providing resources for any Virginian who needs them.

Energy & the Environment

Climate change is a very real threat to our national security, public health, economic prosperity, and diverse biosphere. We owe it to our children and future generations to address climate change now.
